Functional Lab Testing
Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis
This science-guided approach to blood analysis uncovers the unique physiology and nutritional needs behind your symptoms.
Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis can reveal your nutritional imbalances in the GI System, Immune system, Liver, Immune Function, Blood Sugar Regulation, Thyroid Function, Adrenal Function, Various types of Anemias, Infections, and much more.
Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis truly paves the way for science guided and customized nutrition that is tailored precisely to your unique needs.
This is one of the foundational tests at Get Nourished™ because it is a simple mainstream test that can uncover imbalances in your biochemistry and help you get to the root cause of your fatigue, persistent weight, pain and much more.
Adrenal Stress Index – ASI
The Adrenal Stress Index is a measure of your individual response to stress.
This is done simply at home through the use of a non-invasive salivary procedure to monitor your ability to handle stress.
Stress is a major underlying cause of many chronic illnesses, from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome to food and environmental allergies, abdominal obesity, cardiovascular disease and premature aging. A stressful lifestyle can lead to consistently high levels of cortisol and low levels of DHEA (dehydoepiandosterone), which can be damaging to the brain and other tissues.
Secretion of cortisol, regulated by the sleep-wake cycle, is characterized by a steep increase in the early morning, followed by a gradual tapering off until late evening. However, stress causes elevated cortisol levels, which continue as long as the stressor is present. Prolonged stress, causing increased secretion of cortisol, may over time lead to a malfunctioning of the adrenal cortex which means your body loses the ability to produce cortisol. This is when people are completely wiped out and unable to restore their energy.
This is one of the foundational tests at Get Nourished™ because until your adrenals are healed, everything else will be an uphill battle!
Food Sensitivities
Did you know that your “healthy” diet could be making you feel achy, bloated and tired - And can even make you gain weight? This is tricky and often hard to put your finger on. This is not a food “allergy”. An allergy is actually when we have what causes an “IgE response. This is like the immediate hives or an anaphylactic reaction (ie, when someone eats shellfish or peanuts).
However a much more subtle, yet very disruptive type of response is a food “sensitivity”. This is what is called an “IgG response”. This response may be anywhere from 2 minutes to 72 hours after consumption. This means that the foods you are sensitive to are producing inflammation in your body which can make you feel achy, foggy, tired and even fat.
This test will identify which foods your are sensitive to. It is important that you are putting the most optimal foods that serve your body into your diet. Nuts may be good for some, yet for another they could cause a sneaky slow grade inflammation and a lot of uncomfortable symptoms. In my programs we are all about FOOD so I want the best for your body to serve you well!
Environmental Pollutant Metabolic Profile
This simple, urine test uniquely combines the following to give us a glimpse into how your cells are working on the inside and what is interfering with optimal functioning:
Organic Acids Profile
A view into the functioning of your cells. This assesses the metabolic systems that impact Energy, Weight, Pain, Inflammation, Mood, Cravings, Digestion & Poor Gut Health, Detoxification, Stress, Premature Aging, Bacteria and Oxidative Stress.
Environmental Pollutant Panel
Assesses your body burden of common environmental and occupational chemicals such as Styrene, Xylene, Toluene, Phthalates, Parabens and Benzene. This test is the Gold Standard for testing these chemicals known for contributing to weight gain, chronic pain & inflammation, cardiac stress, hormone imbalance, fatigue, allergies and chronic degenerative disease.
Stool Analysis
Gastrointestinal function is important for general health. The intestinal tract contains significant amounts of bacteria; some beneficial, some neutral, and some harmful.
Balancing beneficial microbial flora in the gut is key to proper digestion, efficient nutrient usage, and ridding the body of waste and pathogens. Imbalanced bacteria, poor digestion and malabsorption can lead to immune dysfunction, nutritional insufficiencies, mental/emotional disorders, weight gain and autoimmune diseases. When your gut bacteria is out of balance it can leave you feeling achy, tired, bloated and fat.
Get Nourished offers the most comprehensive, cutting edge profile for the most thorough look at your gut function.
